Episode 11: Top 5 Trip Hop Albums and Songs

After a semi-lengthy hiatus, we’re back with our best, most pretentious episode ever! In this special double-length episode, we’re making up for lost time with two lists about one of our favorite topics – trip hop music. We count down the 5 best albums and the 5 best songs in a genre packed with greatness. We also offer up a list-based tribute to the King of Pop, and feature two more great bands you need to know – LA indie band El Ten Eleven, as well as Headlights, a local favorite from Champaign, Illinois. You can read our picks for both lists after the break.

  1. Just thought I would drop by since you guys asked for some comments. I know this is on a later episode, but I just wanted to let you guys know you inspired me to buy some new albums with this one. I got Tricky – Maxinquaye and Portishead – Dummy and Third (I already own Mezzanine or I would have bought that too). Thanks for the great insight and keep up the awesomeness! Nelsonites, assemble!
